Agenda:
- Read the following passage and identify a motif:
- I felt the anger rising within me like a lion ready for the kill. I can’t believe she could just look at me and say she thought I had no talent. Her words clawed at my hopes of becoming a great musician and I wasn’t sure the tear could be mended. I paced the stage like a beast and plotted how I would respond to her indifferent words, “We’ll be in touch. Next!” Unfortunately, no words came from my mouth. Just the loud panting of someone who has lost all hope. I walked out of the spotlight and into my song-less future; the animal within me had been caged.
